Prof. Dr. Hasan Turkez is an internationally-trained and nationally recognized scientist with both research and teaching experience. Dr. Turkez received his undergraduate education at Atatürk University (Turkey). He has two different PhDs in Genetics and Pharmacology from the Atatürk University and University "G. d'Annunzio" of Chieti-Pescara (Italy), respectively. He has a broad-based background in genetics and drug R&D. He is serving as an expert in two different commissions of World Health Organization (WHO). His main interests are the molecular, pharmacological and nanomedicinal studies of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and brain cancers. He published more than 180 articles in Science Citation Index (SCI) journals, joined more than 130 meetings and received international and national scientific awards.
